In taking care of people in Boulder Colorado for 20 years we are asked so many wonderful questions by our practice members and grateful to help them make healthier choices. One of the ones that’s most common is should I do yoga or chiropractic. Recently this came up when we held our yoga event at Lululemon in Boulder which was well attended and so much fun. The yoga instructor mentioned chiropractic and is a long-term practice member of our office. So attendees asked us what should I do yoga or chiropractic?. This is one of those things in life where it’s not an “either-or” but rather “and”.
Frequently people, unfortunately, look at health as a cause-and-effect or which they will fix which situation or condition. We encourage people to look at health as a number of contributing factors. The more positive constructive trimming factors you can stack the healthier you will be. This holds true for your spine as well. Enjoy this brief health tip from Richelle Knowles.

“hi Dr. Richelle Knowles here, with your health tip from your network family wellness Center. A question that people often ask me, if I get chiropractic care thus that mean I don’t need to do yoga and if I do yoga thus that means that I don’t need chiropractic care? and I don’t think its good to look at it as an either or option. Chiropractic and yoga offer similar philosophy’s in terms of looking at the mind-body connection. Yoga has a lot of health benefits. With chiropractic were looking and helping the brain and body connect better and were looking at it through the help of your spine and your nervous system. So its really important if you wanna get the most out of anything that you’re doing for your nervous system to function at its best, and were looking at reorganizing the nervous system so that your body can be at optimum. So I wouldn’t say its an either or I would say its potent combination and I would say that what we have seen with some of the research that’s been done with network care that any health-promoting activity such as eating healthy, exercising, doing yoga anything that offers health benefits that when adding network spinal analysis or network care and do the picture it just enhance those activities even more. So I really say it’s not an either or but is something that you can do a conjunction with each other and if you do yoga on top of a well functioning and healthy spine and nervous system you’ll get even more out of it.” Dr. Richelle Knowles, D.C.
