If you huddle over your cell phone for extended periods of time, you’re doing more harm to your neck than you may realize. But the truth is, for every inch your head moves forward you’re putting an extra 10 pounds of pressure on your neck. So how can you avoid this kind of pain in the neck? Limit your time on your mobile device, try holding it at eye level, take frequent breaks, and consider participating in exercises that will strengthen your neck and spine (yoga and Pilates are great).
