Hi its Dr. Richelle Knowles, D.C. here with Network Family Wellness Center’s health tip of the week. So often as a chiropractor I get asked about pain do you fix this do you fix that, I have this particular pain and I really truly do feel that pain is important it tells tells us the story of what’s going on in your life and in your health. I just kind of see pain as a big flashing red lights saying stop you need to make a change you need to decide what’s going on in your life and what you need to correct, change and fix. To better take care of yourself so that you can live a long healthy life. But I also believe that there’s something that’s beyond pain that there’s health and wellness out there and new levels of health that people haven’t reached. The World Health Organization actually defines health as a State of physical mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. So there’s more to life and health and just pain. What happens when people symptoms go away? Well that’s just one level of health. But like I said at network family wellness center we want you to reach new levels of health, have optimal life and health and also to be the best version of yourself that you can possibly be by having a healthy functioning spine and nervous system so that your body can work at its best regardless of what’s going on in terms of pain. So what I would just asked you is, “is pain irrelivant?” not at all. But I do feel that there’s more to life out there once you get rid of your pain. We don’t want to just return you to the state of healthy you were at before the incident or the accident or something that happened you but we want to see that you reach new levels of health and well being. There was a really amazing research study that was done with network care several years ago the type of care that we deliver on our office. And it was done with nearly 3000 people in over 150 offices all over the world. And what the research found was that, yes people how changes in their physical state but they also had changes in their overall well being, their mental emotional state, and their quality of life. See I do feel that pain is important but I feel that there’s something beyond pain and that is you living a healthy optimal life being the best version of yourself. So is it about your pain it can be but it’s also about your life. Thanks again in this is Dr. Richelle Knowles, D.C. with this week’s wellness tip
