We all talk about health being our most valuable asset. We prioritize how we eat and we exercise, and we all fall off course a little bit. We just came around the beginning of the new year, where at the top of many people’s resolutions list are things that have to do with fitness, their physical appearance, their weight, how they eat. And we’re also at the time of year now, a few weeks later, where often those plans, dreams, goals, have been dropped aside. And so often when we make choices for our health and wellbeing, and we’re talking about wellness, we don’t really put it to the level that it needs to be, your health is the most valuable asset and we need to treat it as such. The temple that you reside in, the only place your spirit can reside while you’re here on this planet needs to be a priority in terms of its care. And when choosing a healthcare provider, whether it be a medical one, chiropractic, nutritionist, or the list can most certainly go on, choose that as if your life depends on it. I’m talking about the self-care and the healthcare team. So often, we choose what’s cheapest. This is in the areas of things like well do I really need to buy the organic bananas or can I save on the conventional banana? Do I really need to buy meal that is grass-fed as compared to conventional farming? Do I really need to use the healthcare insurance company that costs more, or can I go to the healthcare insurance company that costs less?
Having had a recent serious health crisis that I pushed through, gratefully to all of the wellness steps I’ve taken throughout my life —
And heard the message loud and clear that all the positive things from exercise to chiropractic care to nutrition, help me survive and is why I’m here. At the same time, I realize that it’s time to raise the bar. You can always raise the bar in your health and well-being. You can always find a greater level of care. You can always make better, healthier choices, and there’s always an opportunity for more. The more you raise the bar, in terms of your healthcare, your healthcare providers, your activities, your rest, the more extraordinary becomes possible for your experience of your life through all your days.
Next time you’re thinking to get the lower wrong option, think again. Your loved ones need you, and you need to be at your best to give your best and experience the best. Choose your health care as if your life depends upon it, because it does.
