Forget the tacky ties, whacky socks, silly mugs and funny T-shirts, all of which are sure to disappoint Dad. As Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the incredible men who have shaped our lives, make his special day memorable with the gift of time together.
Here are five fun ways to
create lasting memories together:
1. Imbibe Boulder’s Natural Beauty
Take advantage of the great outdoors by packing a picnic and hitting the trails for a family hike or bike ride. Boulder’s stunning scenery offers the perfect backdrop for a day of adventure and quality time together.
2. Bond Over Barbecue
Fire up the grill for some delicious barbecue bonding. Gather around to cook some lean meats and create healthy salads together. Not only is it a fun activity, but it also gives Dad a break from cooking duties.
3. Have a Movie Night Marathon
Enjoy a cozy evening at home with a movie night marathon featuring Dad’s favorite films. Make sure to have plenty of popcorn and his other favorite snacks on hand.
4. Get Your Game On
Add a little friendly competition to Father’s Day! Break out some board games, card games, or video games, and for some extra fun, make up a special scoring system. You may even want to let Dad win a game or two.
5. Give a Gift From the Heart
Just as your father cherished that card or ornament you made as a child, he’ll also love a homemade gift that you’ll make as an adult. Some ideas: a handwritten note, photo album, candle or Dad’s favorite jam. These thoughtful gifts are sure to be appreciated.
